Interactive Asian restaurant London

The restaurant "Inamo Covent Garden" in London is an extraordinary place that combines Asian cuisine with innovative technology in a unique way. It is part of the Inamo group, which specializes in providing guests with an interactive dining experience that goes beyond just enjoying food. The location in Covent Garden is particularly known for its creative atmosphere and attracts both locals and tourists looking for an unusual dining experience.

Pan-Asian cuisine Covent Garden

The heart of Inamo Covent Garden is the interactive tables that shape the experience. Guests can place their orders directly on touch-sensitive table surfaces, play games like air hockey or memory, and even customize the virtual tablecloth as they wish. A "Chef-Cam" feature allows guests to watch the chefs live in action while waiting for their food. This technology is not only eye-catching but also makes dining a playful and communal experience, particularly popular with groups or families. For children, there are simple games like "Frogs," while adults can try more challenging puzzles like Sudoku.

Restaurant with interactive tables

Culinarily, Inamo represents a Pan-Asian cuisine that combines influences from Japan, China, Thailand, and beyond. The dishes are designed to be shared, offering a mix of traditional flavors and modern presentation. Particularly noteworthy is the "Dragon Roll," a sushi specialty that impresses with its artistic composition and intense flavor. Equally popular are the "Soft Shell Crab Tempura," which score with their crispy texture and spicy accompaniment, or the "Beef Tataki," which stands out for its tender consistency and harmonious seasoning. For vegetarians, there are also exciting options such as the "Bang Bang Cauliflower," a dish with a spicy kick and crunchy freshness that is also visually appealing. Larger dishes like "Miso Salmon with Mango and Papaya Salad" or "Kung Pao Prawns" round out the menu, offering a culinary journey through the Far East.

Unique dining experience in London

The ambiance is modern and stylish, with a touch of South Asian aesthetics emphasized by natural elements and lighting accents. The so-called "Onyx Room" stands out in particular - a separate area with impressive onyx walls, large screens for games or karaoke, and a private bar, ideal for special occasions or celebrations. The open layout of the restaurant ensures that guests always feel like they are part of the action, while the lively atmosphere still maintains a certain coziness.

Asian culinary and technology

The service at Inamo Covent Garden is often described as friendly and efficient, with technology reducing direct contact with the staff - a benefit for those who want to order quickly and easily. However, the team is ready to help with any questions or requests, rounding out the experience. The restaurant places emphasis on using high-quality ingredients, and the food generally arrives fresh and quickly at the table, enhancing the kitchen's reputation.

Inamo Covent Garden also offers special events such as sushi and sake masterclasses or cocktail workshops, expanding the interactive concept and giving guests the opportunity to get involved themselves. These offerings make it a place that invites not only for eating but also for experiencing. In summer, the outdoor area transforms into an idyllic garden with lush greenery and atmospheric lighting, while heated igloos ensure a cozy atmosphere in the colder months.

The restaurant has made a name for itself, not least through numerous awards, such as the most innovative restaurant operation or its popularity with guests. It appeals especially to those looking for entertainment alongside good food, whether for a special occasion, a date, or an evening with friends. For those with special dietary needs, there is a solid selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, with diversity also convincing here.

We had the bottomless all you can eat voucher. Food was tasty and the server Sumitha (?) was really lovely and helped us with scrolling and with the games and kept the Prosecco flowing 😀 Wouldn’t go back as I prefer a slow and quiet dinner to a lively one but it was fun.

Food is good and served really quickly. The concept of the interactive tables is good fun especially for teenagers. We went on a Saturday evening as a family and it was a little chaotic and incredibly loud.

Chetne was helpful and friendly. However, the food feels overpriced for what it is. The dragon roll also wasn't my favourite

Second time here and not disappointed. Brought my 16 year old and 12 year old and the interactive table kept both entertained. Sumana was extremely helpful.

We booked a table at this restaurant after seeing it recommended as a great place to dine with kids. While the interactive tables seemed like a fun concept, they were frustrating to use—navigating the menu required constant scrolling, and some screens kept crashing. My son got so frustrated that we had to switch seats. The food arrived almost immediately after we ordered, making it clear that much of it was pre-made. Everything was brought out at once, rather than serving starters first and then mains. The food itself was okay, but definitely not worth the price. On a positive note, the kids had fun and enjoyed the interactive games and the unique dining experience. However, we were surprised to find that playing the games comes with an additional charge, which wasn’t indicated anywhere. Overall, while the concept is interesting, we wouldn’t recommend it.

It was a very disappointing experience. We had the deal for the Dinner and Comedy night, but the food was really bad; the sushi was very cold and gave the impression that it had been made a while ago and frozen. The atmosphere felt like being in a dark-colored fast-food place. Additionally, the staff was pushing us to buy the unlimited option. The drinks were ridiculously expensive, and the gaming table was not working properly and could not be turned off. The comedy took place in the basement, where we had to sit on uncomfortable benches, and the drinks were still overpriced. Some comedians were ok some others really bad. The toilets were a disgrace to the establishment—stinky and dirty. I will never go back.

AWFUL - food is disgusting and sevivce is appalling. This is a con of a night out and I would warn you to look at something else. Toilets are disgraceful and smell awful. Sushi is so bad and not a Japanese chef in sight. This was a gift from a friend which cost them £180! (£50 per person for the food and the rest for the comedy show which was also terrible). They try and rip you off to choose an all inclusive food or drinks menu and when you go to the comedy show, a glass of wine is £18!!!! Ridiculous - avoid at all cost
